I'm curious also :-\ being that it has a motor in it built for a turbo . . . it has a turbo, sitting near it . . . and that’s it.
I have photos of the motor in the car; but, none of the turbo packaging . . . 'cause that is still in the works.

        Hi, my name is Blake.

I'm an ASE certified former auto technician that used this career to put myself through college to earn a degree in Architecture. As a recent graduate, I now work for a Louisiana licensed architect doing residential and commercial design in the town I was born, New Orleans (man Mardi Gras was awesome this year!)

As for my car junkie-ness I bought a totaled 1993 first Gen F-150 lightning (painted it yellow) and for the last four years my dad and I have rebuilt it and won as many Friday night bracket trophies possible. My DD is a 93 F-150 with a 300ci I6. My dads toys include an all original 50K mile Black Gen 1 Lightning F-150, and a 99 F250 Super Duty (to haul my yellow beast around to the strip of course).

I know you guys like pics so heres one. I just wish I had a shop, or garage, or carport, or lean-to, or at least an easy-up that didn't have a torn top that I could wrench under.

Greetings...Don Cenkner from the MOTOR CITY CAPITAL -Detroit.
A long long time ago, when I was 1, my parents did me the favor of getting me my first car. Ok so it was a peddle car, but hey, it was my very first opportunity to grip a steering wheel. I haven't let go yet.

I have owned and built quite a few cars over the years, the best of the list would include a 1970 HEMI cuda 4spd, a 1967 HEMI GTX, 1969 340 Dart Swinger, (3) 340 Dusters, 7 Corvettes, 4 Trans Ams, and my most recent is a 1969 Plymouth road runner.

Fast forward to today: Over the years of watching a lot of the car TV shows on SPEED and Discovery, and they are all great, I realized there just seemed to be something missing on the lineup of programs. The "true reality"of the car hobby. After watching show after show going into the million dollar hot rod shops and seeing those cars being built with "donated" parts from many different companies, I simply decided that a TV show needed to be produced about the majority of the classics, hot rods, and muscle cars on the road today that are being built right in the home-based garages of those cars very owners. After all, aren't we all the majority of the end-users and customers of all the big name companies like Edelbrock, K&N, AutoMeter, Coker Tire, Craftsman, (I'll bet more home garages are stocked with Craftsman tools than with any other brand) and the list goes on and on. So because I simply could not sit back and do nothing, I decided to produce my own TV series, for the internet (for now) called "backyard wrenchHEADS TV". Check us out, and I am certainly open to feedback and comments. www.backyardwrenchHEADS.tv

          ENJOY THE SHOW! ;D

            Don,
Welcome to the forum and considering that your 1-year old picture in the pedal car is in color, it could not have been a long, long time ago!

Cool site you have there. I only watched the first episode "Ed's Garage", but the production quality is very good. I'm going to check out the rest now.

            Welcome aboard...

Hey all, I'm Kevin from Mechanicsville Virginia. I've been a car junkie as long as I can remember and had enough cars that its almost embarrassing around non-car junkies. Right now I'm on wife's orders to have a car that doesn't break down too much, I guess having kids means having to be sort of responsible too. ;D Right now I have a 2000 Mustang GT convertible that's a lot of fun but we have been talking about picking up an old beater to make a family project out of.

Greetings...and thanks for the compliment on my new project. For right now, until I line up additional sponsors, we plan to add a new garage video per month. Later we'd like to double that. It's an unbelievable amount of time goes into a production of this quality. Pass our site on to all your "wrenchHEAD" car friends if you have the time. It's all about growing the traffic to the site. We would love to have you join our forums as well. We are just now starting to build our community of wrenchHEADS!!

Oh, by the way, the picture in the pedal car was taken in '53. I'm glad they had color photos by then, cause otherwise I would be really old. ;D

Hello- My name is Seth Kohler

I live in Linden, Michigan where it is colder than hell.

I am married with a 7 year old son.

I was a Nuclear mechanic in the Navy, and now a field service engineer.

I started working on cars when I was 8 with my uncle Randy. He gave me an impact wrench and an 82' s-10 and told me to take out every bolt. Got it apart and then he told me "alright now put it back together". I have been afflicted with the sickness ever since. I also passed on the disease to my brother and son. I am currently without a project and look forward to finding the next car. I love all things fast, and I hate mufflers, cats, and everything that pollute the most pure musical instrument in the world...Engines.

                  I am thoroughly obsessed.

I look forward to meeting some of you this year at Maxton.

Had a guy in Linden that used to paint our cars. Lightins' Custom. Steve Tabor is his name. Can't remember the road he was on, but he was near the high school.

Howdy, My name's Mike from Atlanta and I have two great kids (12 & 6) and a wonderful wife as well. My cars are a '66 Skylark which is almost finished (with phase 1 anyhow) and a '66 Buick sportwagon that I can't give away for $600. I grew up in rural western PA and in an effort to keep out of trouble my Dad gave me my Mom's rusty old '55 Chevy 4 dr to work on when I was 13. It worked until I turned 16 and got my license. I've been a gearhead ever since. I've had many cool beaters and a few cars that I put a lot of money (in my dollars anyhow) and time into.

I moved to Atlanta in the 80s and got away from cars for a while as I got really into the underground music scene (my other love). I've finally got my two sides together as my former daily driver Buick is tearing it up with a fresh 455 and I'm singing in a band too.

I currently work as a freelance grip in film and video production and my favorite thing to do is rigging cameras and lights on racecars but I don't get to do it nearly enough in the Atlanta market. So this year I've been adding more gear to my kit and plan on hitting some drag racing events in hopes of talking some racers and track officials into letting me rig cameras on a few cars and get some killer footage that I can then shop to directors and producers in other markets and hopefully start to specialize in this and travel to where the work is. I also hope to hit one or two club racing events and put together dvds of the events on my dime that include racing footage with cool camera rigs as well as slice of life footage of the people that make the events fun. I would offer the finished product to the cub and use it to hopefully get some paying work as well.

I also need to come up with a side business that would allow me to write off shop space and tools as I have nowhere to work on my stuff and nowhere to store parts or cars besides my carport and its killing me. If anyone has any ideas please speak up. I don't need to turn a profit just pay for my habit.

To DF, I think this venture of yours will be great as I think you have the ability to keep things off-beat and interesting. This forum already shows it as the people its attracting seem to have varied auto interests (the mini-moto for example) and even though I'm on the other side of the country, I hope that when I occasionally get out to LA I could catch one of your events or at least be able to stop by the Carjunkie shop for a tour.

Thanks for what you bring to this great lifestyle!

Holy Smoke !! All my kiddy pictures are in B&W and that was from '58 - '61.
Guess my folks were not doing as well as yours, back then and couldn't afford color film.
Anyhow, that is a really cool vintage photo that takes us all back ...

Hi Mike! Welcome from another Atlanta area car junkie! Have you been to any of the Atlanta SCCA autocrosses? You might be able to get some really cool footage there, too.
