Hi - My name is Mike. And I'm an Addict. I've been a carjunky since I was a small child and my parents let the TV babysit me. The muscle car ads back then hooked me. It started with my naming the make, model, year and option package of every car that passed us. Mom put me in therapy. (after putting me in the trunk failed) I think david's dad may have been responsible for some of my issues today. God knows David hasn't helped me beat the addiction...but i digress...Today the affliction is so bad i can barely leave the shop long enough to write this pointless drivel. and I've corrupted my son with this 'disease'! My therapist says I shouldn't feel good about that....but i do.

I'm back, sort of. I have been away from my pc for quite a long time. Then when I got back to it I tried to get on carjunkietv but nuthing. "whats up with the site?" Glad I found this place.
My name is Ted and recently moved from Calif, to Nevada. I've only been able to get my car out of the garage a couple times before the snow started to fly. But that's OK, it gives me time to tinker with it. My wife on the other had can't stand it. Every time I start it up, she says it fills the house up with gas fumes.
My ride is a 67' Cougar that I bought in January of 88. It had red paint with a black vinyl top, green interior and a tired ass 289, but it was an "R" code. I tor it completely apart and built it up the way I wanted. By then I got it in Hot Rods Readers Rides August 1992.
A few years ago I decided it was time to playing with it. That led me to back half it in order to tuk a set of 29x18.50x15 MT's, add a ten point cage and a new motor. It's the same 289 block but that's it. Everything else has up graded to the point it riped off 515hp on the dyno and 679 with nitrous.
I've been running it this way for a couple years now and sorry but it's never been on the track, but it can pull off some massive burnouts. Now I'm on the hunt for 1000hp without nitrous from a big inch small block. I can't wait.

                          Good Morning....

Brian Lohnes suggested I take a walk over here and look around. I was involved in drag racing for many years and drove a few cars and had a little success here and there.

                                Hey All!

I am Jack van der Wolde

                                Living in the Netherlands

I was a great fan of CarJunkie TV and that's what brought me here! ;D
I am a total gearhead, i think the total amount of cars i've had is about 55...(a lot of Italian classics..recent years American build, Chrysler fan)

My cars are (as you can read in my profile also)

1957 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door with the 392 Hemi (Hemi broke down couple of months ago, no time or money to fix)
1970 Chrysler 300 Convertible 440 (bought in the States, so you have one less)
                                1979 Dodge B200 Van 318

And a few (daily) German cars...(just today sold my Jaguar XJ talking about crappy cars haha)

Before that i've also had a 1967 Dodge Monaco (with the coolest taillights ever made)

I was mopar club holland member for 5 years (long story) www.mopar.nl

And i go to allmost every USA car meeting here in Holland during the summer, to party with my friends and drink lots of beer whilest looking at the cars and the babes...now that's live! ;D
I hope to read and see a lot of interesting things here and maybe we meet (planning a trip to the States for years now haha) or mail someday.
                                Thanks!

                                Jack
