    • Baja1000 Anyone????

      Hi guys,

I'm a female living here in Atlanta, Georgia, and I usually crew at the starting line-up for ECTA. I am looking for anyone who is either going or crewing (or knows of anyone who is going or crewing) at the Baja 1000 this year or next. I would like to volunteer to assist on someone's team...water girl, runner, whatever's needed, just looking to experience the event. I can pay my own way, so I'm not looking for a ride.

If you know of anyone participating or going to the Baja1000, will you forward my email info ([email protected]) or forward me their info?

      Thanks a bunch!

      Marsi

Dez_racer is in Las Vegas and I believe he is in deep - and I just figured out his name is short for desert racer - (a bit on the slo side I am ) so if you do a search for his name and send him a private message you're headed in the right direction.
I haven't seen him on here much lately though.

Hi all, I am Tim Cooper from Brackley UK (40 minutes from Santa Pod drag strip). I live for drag racing what ever is on, both FIA and NHRA. I have been into drag and rods for 25 years but don't have a nice race car like many of my friends.
I was at Santa Pod when Darrel Gwynne had his bad crash. As respect to Darrel I named my first son after him.
We have had Melanie Troxell here racing Pro Mod this year so it has been great.
I look forward to Bakersfield. We are in a different time zone so it is going to be a sleepless weekend as I cannot miss this event.
I have put some of my videos on Youtube (type timcooperbrackley)
                Thanks for reading. Tim

New to the forums, Lon Hammett from HazelGreen Al. My current rides are a 90 Silverado, and an 84 GMC Sierra. I drive the 90 daily it's dropped 6/7, has a 350, 5 speed. The GMC is a long term project, it has been stock then static dropped airbagged and now it's on jackstands, I'm hoping this will become my LSR truck.

I'm into dragracing, auto-x, landspeed, and road racing. I dont hunt, fish or follow any pro-sports. I'm married to a great girl who puts up with my crazed obsession with truck and cars and all things involving cars and trucks(including a 10x12 room full of magazines). I'm raising my 9 year old daughter as a motorhead and she just got her first farther/daughter project, a used and neglected go cart.

This is cool...! Thank you guys at BangShift.

I am logged onto the Famoso Bakersfield Hot Rod Reunion and I am loving it. I was out there myself in 2003 and took pictures. Go see them for yourself at: http://public.fotki.com/Mean-Mojo/bakersfield/ ... Enjoy...!

I found out about this from my buddies at: http://doverdragstrip.com/phpBB3/vie...p=20293#p20293

My brother raced a AA/FD there in 1967 but didn't qualify with a 7.10 et at 2007 mph...!

I hope you BangShift guys can find a way to cover some of the SCTA events at the dry lakes and at Bonneville... I'm sure gonna' love that...!

                        Keep it up. Forever...!

Just found this site looking for info on the CHRR. Murf was out there this weekend checking out the action. We are gonna build a FED for Tony Bartone. I am excited because I am a fan from the mids 60's on, and FEDs are my absolute favorite of all time. Hope to hang out here quite a bit. Thanks to everyone for this cool site. bOb

Hey Bob, if Murf is cool with it, how about some quick pics of the stuff you guys are building at the shop?

Got a bunch of chassis on order?

I have been posting for over a month now and just realized that I have never introuced myself on this thread. Maybe I should create a new catergory.. Novice Newbie....for those that just plunge ahead without knocking in some respects.
Anyway, Todd here. Originally from Romeo, MI (aka Kid Rocks hometown stomping grounds) now living in very SLOOOOOOCALA..Ocala, FL.
Current ride is a 1987 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Brougham. Single. No kids. Former Wheel To Wheel employee. I am going through Woodward Dream Cruise withdrawls...but the constant car show activities here in central/south Florida keeps my spirits up. I live very close to Don Garlits Museum on I-75. I really enjoy this site and all the builds/threads. Since I am new to Florida, I have very few friends so I started living vicariously through everyone else here.
