Welcome Dave glad your here, come on in and join the fun. This El Camino your looking for, I would guess there aren't to many in Merry Old England, so how fixed up are you looking for it to be and are you wanting a big block or small. Start yourself a thread and fill in the details, I would suggest the General Discussion area. Good luck my friend.Long Haul Gang 2011,12,13,14,15,16,17,19

hello bangshifters. names mike and I'm from Howell Michigan. I work for GFS for now but hopefully ill get myself a job in something related to guns or cars because i don't enjoy my job at all but it pays bills. I'm 22 and I somewhat recently got into the car scene. bought a 71 lemans for my 21st birthday and Ive been learning more how to keep it on the road rather than make it go fast. I just got a 400 block for my first build and I plan on doing a stroker. in the mean time ill learn how to replace a front end and maybe convert to posi, redo the interior maybe get an overdrive in this thing and call it a resto. i wanted to get to woodward this year but brake issues prevent that. i found this forum looking for information on how to get Pontiacs to run. i found a post where a guy wanted more out of his Pontiac and thumppin455 wrote him a novel. I actually joined the forum so i could start a conversation with the guy. Ive got pages and pages worth of notes because of this guy. he knows Pontiacs..... showed me what blocks to look for and the mindset to run Pontiacs and how its nothing like a chevy. wish i knew a quarter of what he knows. if any of you have two cents to pitch in than point me in the right direction. i love old cars just never had the opportunity to be around them. no one in the family worked on cars so i guess I'm the black sheep. i guess that's my story

Hello, my name is Chuck and I live across the street from PeeWee, (PW). He asked me to join and give a brief bit about myself. I'm 59 with a wonderful wife, 4 boys, 1 daughter and one 1980 Corvette that I have modified myself. 383 stroker, Dart block, AFR heads, along with all the goodies. Full race suspension, Wilwood brakes, lowered, gussett frame, etc. I'm not a drag racer but a roadracer; Road Atlanta, Barber, etc. My latest outing at AMP revealed that I have smoked the clutches one one side of the posi, so that is the next project.
I raced a Suzuki SV650 in WERA for years but then had hip replacement surgery and can't hang off that side of the bike anymore. So, to keep getting my "fix", I converted my Vette for the track.
Thanks for having me on the forum!
