  • So as you can see, I'm a Newbie. I am retiring May 2018 and the HRPT is #1 on my bucket list. We made reservations as close to each event as possible on the first day they were announced. Hopefully we did the right thing, but I guess we will find out. I am currently getting my '87 C10 SWB ready so we can do the Long Hauler route in it's entirety. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. See ya'll on the road soon!

Then you will want to make our HRPT board your new home ... all the Forum Freaks are great and happy to help with any questions. There is a countdown thread, one for the list of hotels we're staying at, another for a contact list of BS'ers on Tour that can help with problems, a Finish Line Party ... more too.

          • Hey Guys and Gals,
My name is Mark. I live in Taylor MI. I attended Drag Week '16 and '17 as a spectator, but after following along I knew it was time for me to change that.
Two weeks after DW17 I came across a nice '88 V8S10 in Toledo OH. It was converted some 20k miles ago as a strip/street truck. Purchased it, drove it home almost 40 miles with no issues and have put another few hundred miles since.
Now it's time to go thru the truck... had it weighed front, rear and total, need to shift some weight rearward and get it ready for the summer.
Looking forward to being part of the coolest event in drag racing, HRDW.

              • Thanks Phil, glad to be here. I was born in Dearborn, have been living in Taylor 33 yrs now. What can I say, house is paid for and taxes are cheap.
This whole forum thing is new to me, so if I need some tutoring just let me know...

                  • Newbie question: What are the "ratings" levels? Such as Drives an Automatic, Lord God, etc? At what number of posts do these change? Thanks - Fred

number of posts determines your "rating" -
