            • So, it's the end of the racing season here in Michigan. Was supposed to be yesterday at Milan, but they called a week early due to the snow we got mid-week; last Saturday a couple of cars hit the wall due to cold tires and track.

How far south do you have to go for year-round racing? Where's the line? What do I do until April?

Remi/McT has a better line on Bowling Green than I do and I say that because I'd have to go at least that far to even begin to think about racing this time of year. So I going to guess Nashville, Memphis, or Birmingham would be as far north that would have decent enough track conditions for drag racing, any other racing is on the participant to decide whether or not they can safely do their thang.
Otherwise, many guys around here, when they put away their race cars for the winter, they race slot cars. There is a fairly large slot car track here that doesn't have to advertise to get business.

                • As you can see, the race season here didn't start on time this year due to the over-abundance of precipitation. The green pointer is the tech station and just below that in the picture is the fuel "shed". The square building at the bottom of the picture is the tower. The track is in front of the tower. You can see the score boards sticking up out of the water and the light poles that line the left side of the track.

                  • Same place, different angle from Spring 2015. Above was 2018. It's our own personal ground hog day type of experience.
Not my pic, not my vehicle in pic.

                    • Did they select a bad low-spot location, or is it like that everywhere ?

Perhaps there is a large air boat racing contingent in the area

                        • Hello everyone! I have had a lot of different cars and bikes over the years. If it has wheels and a motor I can wreck it.. I am currently building a 48 Chevy COE that I plan on taking on the power tour.
