Convert a toyota Landcruiser fj40 hardroof to softroof/convertible?

Im planning to buy a toyota Fj40 in bad shape, but only option to make it attractive and cheap to restore is removing the hard top. Is this section attached to the body of the car or is just a full body? Please advice. Thanks

The ones I seen were bolted to the body and were removeable... They look like a topless jeep cj5 ..something to consider... Tailgate.. Some tops had "barn doors" or station wagon type rear doors..
