  • Do I need a wide bang?

I am very close to done with the never ending 05 Mustang project. I am not sure I need to run a wide band 02 in the car as I am not tunning it myself. It may be cheap insurance to run a wide band and keep a eye on the air/fuel or is not needed since I won't monkeying with the tune? If I am being a dumb/cheap ass let me know.

It's cheap insurance for sure, maybe a down the road expense? If you are using a supercharger or turbo, then definitely.

I would get one just for the sheer entertainment value.

However by having one and watching it, you can develop a knowledge of what is normal for your car and then apply that knowledge to future upgrades.

Yes - get one - and put the gauge somewhere in your view when looking down track - like A pillar or next to tach on dash.

If you go lean under boost - you want to know NOW and get out of it.... right?
There's always something new to learn.

                      that seems worth it.
even a grungy used engine is over a grand.

wide bangs are fun. Like a moped. Just don't get caught riding it.

Didn't you get a Sean Hyland mill? The wideband is cheap compared to that mother.
