Guessing most here haven't priced the cost to buy or rebuild a gas turbine engine. Plus, their efficiency is so crazy low, it's doubtful you'll ever see one in another car in this age of emissions regs, CAFE standards, etc. But they're totally cool!
IIRC, they ran a trip across the country in a early '60s Dart with a turbine and the chase car was the same, but with the regular slant 6, and the turbine got better mileage than the production car. I think they were getting 21mpg with some versions.
