Here's my Muscle truck, All I can say is the MO ST HWY patrol doesn't have a Vic that can stay with it.

True. I was just thinking of a very famous example of a tranny going to pieces with bad results.

Thank for the link BBR, sounds pretty much like what I thought.

I thought Don Garlits showed us why you should have a trans shield in 1970. Or at least to put the engine behind you like he did.
Glad no one was hurt though, that's some scary crap with the holes in the windshield and stuff.

I think it is a better argument for using a valvebody that has low band apply. So the trans does not explode in the first place.

It was evolutionary for Chris. When he fixed the truck he put in a Blown Keith Black Hemi and a Lenco trans. He's trying to run 7's. I've seen it go 8.02. He has almost every safety device know to mankind in it now.

I'm sure I'll build a muscle truck one day. I've always like the style of the the old 50's and 60's trucks. I'd really like a 54 F1, but just about any 4 x 2 would do.

Always thought an old 50's Dodge truck with a 392 Hemi would be cool...

You Sir are correct! I've got some nice shots of a Blown Hemi Cuda doing that on it's first run down a strip also. He survived also.

Lemme guess... a 727 without low band apply.

No Drag racers were hurt in the making of this photo series.
