My Best Friend ....

Rockstar the Boxer .... Had a stroke during the night and didn't make it home last night from the emergency vet ...

He was hands down, the smartest most loyal dog I've ever had choose me as master.

Very sorry to hear that Dan - bigger dogs usually have a shorter lifespan and it's sad when they go. He's up in heaven playing with my German Shepherd Paxmacher.

That sucks - I am sorry for your loss. My Weimaraner is my absolute best friend, goes with me everywhere, he's only 4 but I can tell it's going to be tough letting him go when its time.

My sympathies Dan, I know how much our companions mean to us.

My shepherd Max is 10-1/2 years old and every day is a gift. I picked him out of the litter at 3-1/2 weeks and took him home at 7-1/2 weeks. Brought him back to the States from Australia when i came back. I will be a complete mess, when his time comes.

Guys thanks for the thoughts .... I know it'll get better. I still have my next best friend, but he is deaf and relied on Rock to be his ears, protect him and basically guide him thru life ...

Man I've never had a pet affect me this way! It's the suddenness of it all. Getting ready for bed last night we did our usual wrestle on the bed, tricks for treats routine ... and 3 hours later this happened ...
