    Well, who had an aluminum block V8 with a rear distributor in the 60s? That is an aluminum block, so it cant be just any block.

      If it is the Buick/Olds alum V-8... Same cover fits the V-6's too..

        no one that I know of, besides the ZL-1. and this ain't no ZL-1

          Bob wins. There is a bigger pic of this coffee table block on the net, and you can tell there is no rear distributor. Besides only one engine looks like that, with the curved valley pan, square coolant passages, and of course aluminum.

          Is the Buick the only GM engine with a front distributor?
