This is gonna be big! The Tremec True Street class should be a record setter as the seven-second barrier is about to be broken for the first time in NMCA competition. At Bowling Green, last month, Jeff Knox set the stage with a blistering 8.16 in the second round of competition. During testing earlier in the day, he uncorked an 8.06 pass. With the largest concentration of quick True Street cars in the Northeastern US, Atco will play host to quite possibly the quickest and fastest True Street field in history, not to mention the largest!
The class is open to any and all street legal cars and trucks with awards going out to not only the overall winner and runner up, but also to those whose averages of three passes are closest to the indices of 9.0, 10.0, 11.0, 12.0, 13.0, 14.0 and 15.0. The winner of each index will receive $100 and a really cool plaque. The overall winner will receive a 6-1/2' trophy and $250! As a participant in the True Street category, you will also receive a free entry into the Bracket Race on Sunday.
