As 67, and the 68-72 Corvettes are different body styles, I presume you're talking Camaros.
No one said the L-88 was an OEM Camaro or Chevelle hood scoop. Cowl induction was different on all three models.

1967 L88 Cowl Induction (fools some because the scoop looks like an ordinary Stingray "stinger" from the front)

Gratuitious photo of chick with a '66 BBC Corvette

Cowl hood scoops, at least what you're referring to, was only on the 69 Camaros.... and just about everyone who owned a 67 or 8 put that hood on their car (I know, I did to both of mine).
Nobody's arguing that the OEM Camaro cowl induction scoop made its debut in MY 1969.

One wonders where that shapely "yummy mummy" put that honkin' picnic basket in that Stingray convertible. I'm not buying that "Hamper stocked and stowed" business . . . .

          Well they really couldn't run an ad that said . . . Corvette . . . America's perfect car for cheating on your husband . . . .

The Ford "Mad Men" might have been a tad more overt . . . .

And what could the starched shirts at Cadillac have really been suggesting in this elegant chestnut?

I honestly would rather not think what my parents did before VCRs and porn

Before this thread quietly fades into obscurity . . . One more look at Joel Rosen's brilliant use of the L-88 scoop at Motion.
