One thing I'd make sure to do is run 13" wheels on it.

A buddy of mine had a GT-V for a while - a hoot to drive it was - he'd put a 5 speed into it - and had some work done to the head, it ran twin side drafts and got attrocious mileage for being a 4 banger - it needed DIY Autotune in a bad way - I'm sure he was runing 10:1 AFR most of the time - but good GOD could he throw that car around corners.

Growing up my Dad had a yellow '68 Toyota Corona. I've contemplated a few times buying him one and putting a single TBI on it with a Microsquirt because the carb on it was in constant need of repair, even when new.

Ford SHO 3.2L V6 with 3.0 cams and a twin screw supercharger off of a Merc C32 AMG. Back it with a 6spd of some kind and reengineer the rear suspension to handle corners without downshifting.

According to my Dad that Corona usually got just shy of 40 mpg and would go just over 40 mpg when heading east on I-10 (relatively flat). Heck it may of been the car I was brought home from the hospital in. I know my brother was (2.5 years later).

I think either one of these would do it for me. The 510 threw Japan into sedan racing and rallying.

As long as we have gotten a bit away from Datsun 510's.....I always like the Alfa GTV and GTA, but I have to admit this Alfa Romeo Giulia is pretty cool.......

I wonder what the "bib" under the front bumper's for . . . eating Nissans?

(I know he's probably covering a license plate with it . . . or maybe he forgot where he hung his chamois to dry)

But it did make me think of . ..

Crazy Import Dept: A neo-gasser wagon with Steinmetz box flares, a snorkle scoop, and centerline-style wheels?

A traditional import gasser (of the sort that the many of the current rules packages outlaw to protect the class)
