Being retired, I'm kind of an expert on this. I know how to kick back and do nothin' if I want or need to. ME says I'm the best at being sick that she's ever known. Even when I was working, "sick" was the time to remove all expectations from myself and just BE.
So waiting for the next job - think of it as sick time. It's the opportunity to kick back and do those things that please you, even if that's nothing.

Due to not having worked since July 2005, what to do with my time has become somewhat of an adventure. Since actually getting sick, the focus has been education in a number of areas, including astronomy, physics, chemistry, and more fun ways to enjoy the opportunity that presents itself on occasion where something enjoyable is possible.
The short of it is: I do what I wanna do. Build cars, play with the dogs, watch a movie, play a video game, spend quality time with the wife, plan what to do this summer, or just sit around and wait for the bread to rise. Life is short so I enjoy it and do what I feel like doing.
