My '60 NewYorker has chrome trim on the doorwindows, which imo makes it a little less 'boring'.
The 'late 50's 4dr hardtop Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth models have a nice roofline and still can look sleek despite the 4 doors.

Old police cars-yes.
I really like some of the crew cab G-bodies. Not that any of them are particularly cool, but it's just so easy to make them drive really really good.
Surprised that no one has mentioned this yet, but the coolest four doors have tailgates.
