What would cage pass tech to?
    Si vis pacem, para bellum

I think I'd pass. Looks to be a totally gutted truck with a questionable cage. I think the first pic is a 'before' pic. lol

If it's as clean as it looks I think it's a bargain. GO for it! Do you have a spare SBC? If so, this is where it belongs.

I don't think it's horrible .... but just from the pics, I'd give that bar a good going over. It may be the pic, but the rear down bars look to have too much of a past 90* bend to them.

I guess it depends on your goal for the truck .... street car, bracket car, ..... ?

I agree that those rear bars may need correction. And the welds may need a going over but that's hard to tell in the pics. Still a good deal for the $$.

I've put many cages in S-10's and unless your extremely height challenged, that hoop is way to low...legally and annoyingly once your seated.

The parts it comes with are worth a lot - the cage needs some re -work - you're around 6ft tall right? If so - you're going to need a racing seat jammed firmly against the back of the cab to be anywhere close to comfortable, the cage work doesn't look horrible, but that hoop should be located as close to the inside of the roof as possible. The question is - what sort of tubing was used to make the cage in the first place, and are you in need of a cage? if not - it may be best to just take it out and enjoy a street truck - since it doesn't look like he cut into the cab - but ran the tubes through the window.
There's always something new to learn.

I tend to agree with this statement. However, it seems to come with plenty of nice extra parts. The truck itself looks to be in good shape. The cage is likely not going to work for reasons already stated. PLUS, if it's not connected to the frame, but only to the cab (a common mistake) an inspector that's a stickler for the rules would fail it. Just had a discussion about that on LS1tech not too long ago. Go see it, you'll know for sure once you spend a little quality time getting to know it.

Buy it, cut the cage out, stuff something under the hood and be sure to run slower than 11.50 and you are ok.
