When the WIND TUNNEL t.v. program first came on,I sent several emails trying to get them to interview Mr.Arfons,or Mr.Breelove before they passed on.Aparently they were not(and still aren't)interested in land speed racing.
Back in 1972,my buddy needed new tires for his Bonneville roadster. He called Firestone and they said they didn't make those tires anymore, but gave him Art's phone number. He sold my buddy 2 wheels and tires from his first jet car,Cyclops. He's still got them, and his roadster.

          Our hero has fallen.

My fascination with the salt started when I was in 2nd grade reading about Art & Breedlove duking it out. I kept up with Art as he went through the rest of his career, and he really impressed me. What a hot rodder!
