  • MY Daughter Graduated USAF Tech School Today

Last year our youngest surprised my wife and I by announcing she was going in the "family business" Defending the US in the Air Force. She cleared Basic in October and today graduated from Pharmacy Technician School . Having enlisted for 6 years she was also promoted to E3 (Airman First Class).
My wife and I are very proud of course, but our biggest joy is she did this on her own. She also scored a very sought after AFSC that she worked for by playing hard ball with the recruiter, Mom taught her the ropes there.

I have to say defending your country is BangShift Approved !

Thats how I got my education. Enlisted in 1966 and got 2 years of electronics school. Turned that into a job that allowed me to start my own business in 1980. Just sold the business and now just bought a dream car, a front motored dragster to run as well as being employed with company that bought my business! Congrats to her and hope she gets all out if life she deserves and please thank her for her service from 1 USAF vet to a current airman!!!

Awesome! Congrats to the pup and to the proud mama and papa....

I am on the down slope towards retirement...Seems like yesterday that I left for basic training. It isnt the same Air Force that I came into, in some ways its better in some ways its worse. I would do it all over again tho...Might change a few things here and there...but its beena great life.

Thanks Everybody, the USAF has been very good to our family, and it's a good life I feel.
My oldest is married to a USAF Staff Sargent.

About the changes over the years,I'm a civilan still working on the same aircraft I did when I was active, plus 2 others, Some of the changes looked great when they, the AF,were selling them to us,LapTop computers is the latest, but in near 30 years out here I can only count 2 changes that might have helped me,and even then for the cost it was probley not worth it.

Still overall a good life ,thank you all for the kind words.

I feel blessed being a military brat. I got to see things and places that I would not have as a civilian child. I miss being on base too.

Well done! I was never in the service but I have the utmost respect for those who do. I think that's great what she did. She's getting a great education and learning discipline that's going to make her a great success. You have every right to be proud!
