Damn that is a nice shoebox Groucho.
    Nice lace job.

Anyway you could get pics of how he mounted the bucket seats?
We should be ready in about 2 weeks to start mine.

Funny you say Shoebox. I do too. But guys around here refer to 49-51 Fords as a shoebox. When I told them it applies to tri 5's, they thought I was crazy. I'll try to remember the seats (wish I'd taken some while I was there). He's 30 miles away, so I don't go there all that much, and hardly ever travel with my camera (no smart phone yet)

        good friends shoebox...'51 Ford.

No problem on the seat tracks....I think we got matters covered. Just curious what others are doing.

Seems guys about 65 and older refer to the Fords as shoeboxes
Guys who are in their 50's or have owned the tri-5's call them shoeboxes..
I wonder what the 30-40 year olds call "shoeboxes"....

Hmm.. Weird.. Must not know of what they speak.... Or is it us? It's just a label.. But I've always refered to tri-5 chevys as shoeboxes.. They are more like a shoebox than the Fords, I think..

I agree. But, if I say shoebox, referring to a tri 5, nobody here knows WTF I'm talkin about

The revival of lace paint is the greatest thing ever.

We call Chevy II's "shoebox Nova's" and 55 not 56 or 7's and this isnt Ford country so no one even has one of the 49-51 around here. But I like em.

Bitchin' retro paint job. I'm kinda over all the '55 gassers out there. I'd be happy to see one with that paint job with giant polished slots and sitting high like a street freak. Something different.
