The only kid I inspire is some neighborhood kid whose parents always shouldn't be letting ride his bike down my street. He likes to hang out and help fix things. He needs a little help in the tool choosing dept though. And, he is afraid of my "loud black car." I think I am failing in this whole thing.

    Fabulous Monk!

My wife was telling our 3 year old son over the weekend that we will soon have to take his piggy bank to the real bank to deposit it where he can save for something important....

(he likes collecting change from wherever we leave it in the house - but knows that quarters are for the car wash LOL)

His response? (I have more work to do ....)

    Like a balloon Mommy?

The kid loves balloons - but he also likes his pedal car - so - there's hope - and this spring he'll actually be able to drive his pedal car
(we gave it to him for his birthday in December)

My Grands are too far away for me to have much influence - darn it! Still, I MAY suck one of them in. My youngest Grand Daughter is fearless and may prove to be my driver when I get too old (like - tomorrow).

That is awesome. My son brings stuff like this home...the teachers all know what I do, my hobbies and interests, what I drive, when I work on my cars, when we go to a show....its cool because you know youre doing SOMETHING right....

Keep mentoring him Monk...soon he will be hopping up dads lawnmower and chopping his bike....good stuff.
