It's 2:34 in the morning at Chez SBG, and SBG is off to Portland to go to the huge swap meet that happens every year in April. Gates open at 7 am, 3 1/2 hour drive. As is normal, every year in April, the weather forecast is for 55 degrees, 2" of rain, 45 mph winds.

for the first time in upteen years - I'm missing the big swap in columbus this spring - just too much going on and I don't have an urgent need for any parts - or any money to buy them with.

I went 2 times a few yrs ago. The BEST swap I've ever attended. Too bad it's 950 miles, or I'd go every year. I like swaps lots more than shows! In fact, I go to "most" shows just to see if I can buy something.

We DROVE! I think it took 13+ hours. What good's a swap without a truck, right? Between the 3 of us we filled 1/2 the bed.

I may have bought a part for a non existent project I bought a nearly new 4l80e 2wd transmission for 125. And it did rain as much as forecast. Tomorrow is supposed to be wilder. Good, less brave souls=great deals
