Thanks Monk, those were some fun days, that picture would have been taken at Edgewater Park over by Cincinnati, you could run Elimnator 4 times a weekend over in Ohio. The car held the class record a couple of times, I should have put someone in the car that could have driven it.

The car is still around here and a local guy is going to try to buy it and he'll restore it, if he can't get it bought he said he'll clone it. I thought about it but I have enough projects and I don't like to go backwards anyway.

Yes Sir it is, I haven't seen the car in 40 years but there are sightings and people keep telling me about it, I'm sure the motor is long gone but it would be interesting to see it restored.

I'm curious about the Jenkins motor in the '57........solid lifter, high compression?

No Sir, it had what was referred to as the "Power Pak" option on the 283" engine, going off of memory which isn't that great I believe the Factory specs. called for a 9,5 Compression ratio, had a small Carter carb but we were also allowed a Rochester, Hydraulic lifters/Cam and dual exhaust and it produced a whopping 220 factory horsepower and of course that was back before they dynoed every engine so I don't know what kind of Jenkins horsepower it produced.
