  • anyone have a hurst V-gate

I have one on my Muncie & have always wondered if I'm shifting properly
from neutral I lift the trigger & push forward, second gear is lift trigger pull back, third gear is push forward no trigger, forth gear is pull back again no trigger
    This is me; http://youtu.be/04TmA2E1M88

You do not need to lift the trigger when you shift to 2nd gear. Otherwise, you are doing it correctly.

The design of the shifter gate allows upshifting without the use of the trigger. Downshifting from third to second requires the use of the trigger and downshifting from second to first also requires use of the trigger. Downshifting from 4th to 3rd, however, does not require using the trigger.
It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

Ok, I've adjusted the shifter rods, and after positioning it away from the radio/dash I was running it thru the gears & noticed the trigger stays up from 1st gear to shift into second then the trigger drops to allow up shift forward into 3rd. Just like you said. LOL
Now I can't wait to try it on the road... when it stops raining.
