I was looking at some video, pre war.. racing
the title is supercharged, but it does go on to show the 4.5 liter n/a winning a race...and several others.
this one here has two of the 1930s cars that did not get caught up to until the 1980s. (look close at the specs in the beginning). of course a german caught the germans with the Porsche 2.7L (still the record holder at nuburgring today- 30 years later)
American miller was the supercharged engine that inspired Bugatti..he copied every detail.
along similar thinking of the insanity.. hennessey venom GT, maybe some ford gt, it only tops one of the above cars by 30mph.
most amazing.. what could be of all time.
To wonder how a boxer four gets backshelfed, or counterbalanced giant v8s take over...
the world stopped in 1939 for an event called WW2. 75 years later, reemerging slowly is the think that can be said as "best" or "most"...
that is a long time, and it is sad to think about.
Even today, I am fighting off "the tards" for a very simple project. I don't get backshelfed by what is around you or me.
