OH MAN! I always thought it was the continuing spat with DG that would result in TC's ban.

I never expected he'd blow himself up this way.

However, I do agree that what he posted is simply indefensible in a polite, educated society.

If anyone wants a surefire way to get thrown out of here, see the quoted posts above. Unreal.

    Beyond belief.

The tens of thousands of words you've written on the internet with your opinions on politics, conspiracies, etc., and this is really where you're coming from?

I try to stay out of the flame wars around here, but...

Time to get back to the perpetual-motion machine project...seems we haven't heard about that in a while. Really it would be a good place to apply yourself.

Probably time for this thread to get locked.

Free speech exercised, and it's your right.

I pray that your post was intentionally meant to inflame and offend. For your children's sake, I hope so.

The mere fact that she documented the events of the time (from her perspective) AND the fact that the diary survived are what make the book important.

Its not so much her, it was the story that is historically important.

TC, sometimes you're like one of those guys who just HAS to fire up a doobie (or crack pipe) while wearing gasoline-soaked clothes and washing parts in an open pan of inflammable solvent.

The fact that Anne Frank's tragic story . . . even assuming that it's merely typical of what thousands of other children involuntarily faced at the ruthless, evil hands of Nazi despotism and genocide . . . apparently didn't move you aptly illustrates a profound lack of maturity and basic human empathy.

Mentioned to my 33 year old son that TC didn't know who Anne Frank was and he did a severe double take..
    "Are you sure about that?.."
I got this out and showed him...
    "How can anybody not know?"

Tell ya the truth.. How can anybody not know?

I'm a bit of a history buff, raised by a history buff, but even my friends with no interest in history know who Anne Frank is, yes, it was required reading at my high school for honor's English, but even my Navy buddy's who didn't go through similar courses as me know who she is.

If peace can prevail. and it's surely in no defense of the douche nozzle...HAHAHAHaHAHHHA!!!!!!

I've done alll the searches I can think of, and I can't find anything about it, but all I can remember is that David Clayton-Thomas, the prolific and accomplished and experienced front man for Blood, Sweat and Tears got in big fan trouble on the other side of the water during a show for saying something like, "Ohh we're smoking like the last train to Austerlitz." That didn't go over well.

Doesn't make Bleeber Cleaver any better, but he wasn't he first one in history to do it. He might be the youngest and dumbest one, though.

For Beeber.. (yeah intentional misspell) to think he is bigger than the WW2, and all that relates to it.. Is just WRONG!
Even if Anne Frank was a mere footnote of WW2.. what her family went thru... Trivialized by a pop star that probably more than likely never went past 5th grade..

And Joe as for calling me a troll, that is so wrong, I really do not see anything wrong in what he wrote..... I feel it's what people make up in their minds on the meaning behind what he wrote that makes it wrong...... It's kind of like when that Preacher called me out in front of all the people at the voting pole, I was wearing an Injection Is Fine, But I'd Rather Be Blown shirt, he said very loudly in front of everyone aren't you ashamed to wear a shirt like that in public, I responded to him very loudly in return that the shirt is about Injected Motors and Blown Motors and anything else he feels it means is purely made up in his own mind........ It's the same when I told my niece I don't like George of the Jungle because he Spanks his Monkey, I'm literally taking about him spanking a monkey, but we all know what you guys are thinking....... The same thing is going on here, Bieber made a comment, in which you don't know the whole meaning behind, except for the made up delusions that you conger in your head....... I still love the look on the Preacher's face when I made it look like he was the one with the dirty mind........
I am sorry man, but I am a compleate mornon, I barely made it out of High School and if it was not for the USAF I would be working at a gas station driving tow trucks or living off welfare and I know who she is...I find it very, very hard to belive that anyone who went to high school and is a semi intelligent human being can say they dont know who she is...its just mind boggling...I honestly figured you were stirring the shit pot...If you dont see the arrogance in what he wrote...then I am sorry, there is just no way youre gonna get where people are coming from...Like going to the guest book of a dead girlfriend and writing a note about how she was a good lay...tacky...just tacky.

and can ANYONE here tell me WTF Barry is talking about?

There I fixed it for you, I also signed you up for his Fan Club so you should start getting hourly updates.

Were you having fun being suggestive, then calling out the person who responds to you as being the problem? Like when the gal at the 7-11 wears a total low-cut top, and then says to every third guy in line that she's "up here..."?, as though she's somehow righteous and they're scum for responding to the situation she set up? Fun game, I guess...if you're the type.

Step back from yourself, and either try to imagine what is is you're doing actually means, to/about you and the people you're doing it to, or imagine that maybe (just maybe) you are not fooling everyone.

The only reason this whole thing, the thread and the news story, is getting attention is that it's a point where it gets discussed how people should behave and the reasons behind it in case they don't know. We still for the most part live in a post-WWII world but the numbers of those who are utterly that ignorant about recent, important history are of-course increasing. Most are young, a few as old as I am it appears.

Anyhow, this is getting a little too moral/political for this place and I might shut up now.
