          what is up with the floor shift.
          gauges..is there a tach.
          sway bars, gear ratios, tranny..
          engine. hey, how bout the engine. Engines are great.

                        Sadly we're likely to see more of this sort of insanity as the supply of non-computerized RWD V8 coupes continues to decline. I already see too many huge price tags on what used to be $100 "cores," merely because they're emissions exempt, V8 ready, and eligible for most "old car" events.

                        And those prices are arguably cheap in a crazy age when HRM shamelessly spends $17,000+ (!) on a kit T-Bucket with a free take-out engine and transmission!

                        It's an intended consequence of our over-regulated, CUV/FWD-dominated motoring world. The Naderites, anti-car greens, OEM bean counters, and those who profit from them all wanted it that way. Strip our choices . . . erect expensive barriers to our enthusiasm . . . and corral us into mass transit or soulless, hermetically-sealed, foolproof, factory-built boxes . . . .
