I got a lock out kit because the wife, her sister, a friend, and multiple people around here are constantly locking the keys in their cars.

There is a wire coat hanger beside the battery on the inner fender for when I lock my keys in the car.

I have also found shutting off the engine and putting out the cigarette before pumping gas helps me keep my eyebrows intact.
