Drove the Trans Am to work today! Last time it was used for transportation was 6 months ago. Before the engine swap. Other than one burn plug wire, all is good.

          damned SBC plug wire routing...

          NICE WORK!

Someone in my building has a pinto hatch with a 4v clevo, cage, frame connectors through the floor and no carpet or hood parked in the building... I'll have to try to catch him - I'd like to know who's it is!
There's always something new to learn.

To tell the complete truth. I stopped to get gas on the way and my incomplete wire job to the fan turned.one on and killed the battery. After the wife got out of bed with my call for help at 5:30 for a jump all went well. Any body know what's better than getting to work with your just complted engine swap ( or anything else major? ..........getting home.

And I made it home. Would have been nice if I had taken the time to put the console in. Would have made the return trip of 30 miles a whole lot more comfortable as that is where the power window switches are. Thought I was going to roast.

I'm not a electronics genius so so since it's been home from work I've been tinkering with the fan relay wiring. So I haven't replaced the spark plug wire. once that is fixed I should have 45 more HP than before. I think I should feel it but the last time I drove it with the L98 was 6 months ago, it will be a big guess. If I ever take it back to the quarter mile and it beats 15 seconds, then it's faster. After church tomorrow I'll finish the wiring of the relays and replace the burn wire. I think I have 5 more new ones as I've burnt new ones before.

What's so funny on my end is I haven't heard that term in such a long time it registered in my head as 9 inch. Yes. And at probably 200,000 miles , And me sticking a T-5 in it over 5 years ago I would have thought it or the T5 would have at least started complaining by now.Has a factory limited slip with I can't remember ....a 3.23 or a 3.26 ratio. I think it was the latter.

Well, you got my curiosity up again on this rear. I like you thought there was only one ration available. You the 3.42 , me 3.23-6 ( I've seen different sources claim a 3.23 or a 3.26 ) But I went to thirdgen.org and there is a thread on there and they claim code G92 (with auto) as being available with 2.77,3.08,3.27. And code G92 ( with stick) 3.45 . And a few L69 high output carb 305s with 3.70s The 3.08 and down is one carrier the 3.27 up is another. Now while this sight is somewhat of an authority on these cars, if your as jaded as I ,it's just food for thought. Here's the link http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/fa...now-about.html

There's a way to ground the fan relay so the fan is on whenever the key is on. If you look at a schematic you should be able to figure it out. I know those cars tend to run hot so I thought I'd mention.
