helmet shopping SA05 ??

I need a Snell SA hat for the Lemons race and I'll probably use it for future HPDEs as well. I've been sporting my bike helmet as it's fine for DE stuff. The problem is that I don't know where to try these things out. Having just bought a new dirt bike helmet, I know that a large Shoei is not the same as a large Fox/HJC/Arai etc. I know I can get a Simpson, G-Force, or Bell through Summit or Jeg's, but i'd really like to know if I can find one locally in Houston/Katy. Any ideas on stores or a brand recommendation?

I can't help you out on a local store to try the stuff out, but I got mine from Racer's Wholesale, they hooked us up as our whole team bought from them. Might be worth giving them a call and asking about a group purchase, if others on your team (or other teams you know) need equipment as well.

FWIW, I was really happy with my G-Force helmet.

I got my Bell from some online source (don't remember which one). They Emailed me a measurement technique, which I used and the helmet fits PERFECTLY. I'd be pretty comfortable using their recommended technique.
