Remember in the late 60's early 70's the cool hippy type kids wore sandals made from old tires for the bottoms?

    I wore wafflestompers!

guys are really good at fixing shoes. I was about 5 and pestering my great uncle who was building a pier at the time. I can't get my shoe untied, and I'm whining about it, so he grabs it and nails it to a deck board with a 16c galvinized nail. Fixed.

I left him alone after that. He fixed stuff too good.

Scott - you know WAY too much about women's shoes. Not that there's anything wrong with that......

ME leans toward Sketchers, etc, who also make he-man shoes.

Confession: I have ever had on my feet any shoes over $100. I have never heard of Christian Lubitain. Suddenly I do not feel fulfilled as a woman!

                Oh angst!

What ME and I call "Hooker Shoes". I doubt that they're made by Hooker Headers, however. But fun for an evening's entertainment, I 'spose.

Knowledge by association. Just like spouses who learn about cars even though they don't care too much about them. I drive celebs and their stylists. I also was brought up by mother and older sister, both professional shoppers. Dad was a flyer in the USAF. I know about purses too.

LOREN, it's always great when shoes are not just reliable and beautiful, but at least comfortable for those people who wear them, on daily basis, especially at work. I know a lot of examples, like nursing shoes - they would help any nurse spend her work day in a comfort, even she would spend all day long on her legs. You can find out this here an article with some great pairs of nursing shoes, with all the designs and colors.
