So the Formula One boys are up in arms due to the new license fees they are going to have to pay to maintain their F1 competition license. The guys used to pay like 1700 euros plus like 450 euros per championship point that they earned. Yeah, that's steep...but.
FIA changed the fee structure so now they have to pay a 10,000 Euro base fee and 2,000 euros for each championship point earned. Last year's champ Kimi Raikkonen will have to pay 230,000 euros to re-up his license.
The driver's a threatening a strike because they say the increase is unfair. Sounds like they have a case right?
Wrong.
Lewis Hamilton just spent 200,000 british pounds for a VANITY LICENSE PLATE.
You can drop 200,000 pounds on a license plate, but not that much to continue earning millions of bucks a year?
Sorry boys.....case dismissed.
