  • Misc Bowling Green Stuff

Hot Rod Reunion was awesome as usual.
Lots of great cars and drag races and car parts and good people.

Brian nailed the announcing gig.......a real natural.

Chad was doing his thing in the tower and Charles was snapping away with his equipment.
I figured out I've got to start wearing my hat backwards in order to take good photos.

Met up with Haley and Remy during the Powershift segment. That was much fun as well.

    Here's just a few photos I took

    This car

Looks a lot like this one......many years later

My jaw dropped when I saw this '55 Ford.
It is an exact replica of the first car I purchased, for $95, when I was sixteen. Mine was a '56....312ci w/Foxcraft floor shifter.

Hemi Under Glass put on a real show.
Dragging his rear bumper sending sparks all the way down the track.

    PowerShift Live

Chad in the tower of power

    Long Roofed Racers

And lastly.......a car rental company's night mare

    Cool pictures!

I made it over there yesterday and it was a BLAST!

I ran into Haley and Remy too

I was running around all day trying to take pictures around the real photogs.....(can they have a few more people blocking the show?!?) especially for the cacklefest=UGH

Wish I could have met you Chad and Brian, maybe next year.

Chad was easy to find: he never left the scaffold except to use the can.

Brian, a little more difficult. I don't think he really left the tower.

Charles was all over the place getting pictures.

It was good to meet you guys. Had an absolute blast out there. Only way it could've been better would be if I was driving.

I saw Chad, he was busy when I was over there. I didn't realize Charles was there.....One of the real photogs photo blocking me even!

Based on the short shorts this must be Charles.
            Escaped on a technicality.

She was. Got a couple, she was running Jim's '69 FC during Cacklefest. Sorting pics, will get them up ASAP.

Here's a few more cars........there were so damn many there.
Tough to pick which ones to shoot.

This was a strange one.......BBC in a Jag

Definitely hard to decide what to shoot. Lots of cars and irregular parking made it harder to cover the lot.
But then I was intoxicated by the smells of the drag strip.

                          Cool Pics Monk!

Yeah that did make maneuvering the place a bit hard to do.

Those nitro cars were a blast.
