OR just got it's 500 million wheat crop buyable by Korea... They were refusing to buy because a field got away fom Monsanto and had rogue wheat growing where not supposedta...
Soooooo glad to see this thread, guys. If there is one thing that battles for my hot rod time, it's the stupid lawn. I like owning my own house. I despise the mowing and weeding and chasing away the bugs and the mowing and the weeding.
Really helpful that you guys listed all the natural home remedies for weed removal.

Vinegar, salt and Dawn works! But gotta let it dry on the plant.. Gotta cover pretty good too..
Gotta be able to stand the smell too..
I buy my vinegar by the gallon.. 2 per time.. Use a spray bottle, wander around hitting the green spots in wherever I don't want stuff growing.. Spray bottle is best from Walmart (at least around here) can find in dollar stores..
Good timing PW. I just sprayed 3 gallons of "Eraser" with my backpack sprayer yesterday. Cheaper than Roundup, it only takes a light mist on a hot day-BAM. It rained a few hours later but it is clearly doing its thing. I buy it in gallon jugs from the local farm store. A gallon lasts me 2-3 years. My gravel driveway is 300'+/- long and I spray it (and more) 3-4 times a year.
Monsanto lost patent control on Roundup in 2000 - there's a ton of clones out there now. Eraser is one of them...
Glyphosate, N–(phosphonomethyl)glycine, in the form of its isopropylamine salt
41% mix rate is like Roundup Pro. Nasty indeed. The downside is it only treats active vegetation and it's just like Roundup in that it's toxic to pets and humans.
I was reading on it last night and it seems that farmers are now able to use Glyphosate resistant crops - ie, you can spray your crops and all it kills is the weeds. We used to use it in asian jasmine that way to kill the bermuda. It won't touch asian jasmine.
I'm surprised Bruab hasn't checked in, this was his bag for a while (Scotts)
