Trimec should. 2,4-D , Salt of dicamba, and some other thing I can't remember.

/edit - they have a crabgrass version, with product sheet available here. Specifically says Tall Fescue okay

Phil, depends on who's you get but that is about right. 1 oz / gal per 250 feet for bermuda, bluegrass, fescue. Cut the application in half for St. Augustine, ie same mix but applied to 500 feet instead of 250.

Wanna burn down the house? Get one of those weed burning/ice melting torches from Harbor Freight, HD, Lowes etc..
Every time I used mine, I had to scramble myself breathless or talk to the fire dept.. They work reeeal good!
You need to be careful with them..
Guy who went to school with my kids didnt light his..pumped the mole hole full after 2-5 minutes, lit it and hit the hole.. The flames traveled to the bedding, food store and caught fire.. Problem is the bedding was under his lawnmower shed.. Total loss on a new John Deere riding mower..

That sounds like a crop application dealing in linear feet - I just use it to spot spray now since we moved to the burb's. No kidding, he gave me about 3" in the bottom of a 2-1/2 gallon jug and I still have it 15 years later. We have mostly blugerass up here and it craps out every August when the rains stop.

I think the active ingredient is 2-4-D this kills anything that "flowers" but not grass, unless you mix it a little too hot (which I did recently) from the concentrate I got from a farmer buddy. I think it should be about 2 TBSPS. per gallon but Stiney probably knows the correct mixture.

Monsanto lost patent control on Roundup in 2000 - there's a ton of clones out there now. Eraser is one of them...

Glyphosate, N–(phosphonomethyl)glycine, in the form of its isopropylamine salt

41% mix rate is like Roundup Pro. Nasty indeed. The downside is it only treats active vegetation and it's just like Roundup in that it's toxic to pets and humans.

I was reading on it last night and it seems that farmers are now able to use Glyphosate resistant crops - ie, you can spray your crops and all it kills is the weeds. We used to use it in asian jasmine that way to kill the bermuda. It won't touch asian jasmine.

I'm surprised Bruab hasn't checked in, this was his bag for a while (Scotts)

Good timing PW. I just sprayed 3 gallons of "Eraser" with my backpack sprayer yesterday. Cheaper than Roundup, it only takes a light mist on a hot day-BAM. It rained a few hours later but it is clearly doing its thing. I buy it in gallon jugs from the local farm store. A gallon lasts me 2-3 years. My gravel driveway is 300'+/- long and I spray it (and more) 3-4 times a year.

I wish I had something to legally add to this conversation...........gosh I really do.

Just imagine this though - - how many gallons of Roundup do you suppose goes on a 400 acre field? Do you suppose those gallons cost $20 per gallon?
