  • Anyone have a Hollander exchange manual kicking around to look up

What I'm looking for is an efi tbi unit that was on a v8 and had a 2004r behind it..
thinking late 80's catty's and maybe g body with 4.3v6
just not sure what models would have one other than knowing the monte 4.3 efi does. and a g/n would(not likely in a junkyard)
not sure if a tbi v8 that had a 7004r would work. or not.
and if it keep the tv cable geometry, are both set up's the same?

thanks for any help.. it be ideal if the 700r4 and 2004r cable geometry is the same

I can't think of a single TBI/2004r combination. They were either carb'd or multiport injection as far as I know, V8 or V6.

No Hollander Interchange here but , the 89ish Safari / Astro vans had a tbi and a 700R4 . They were 2 barrel carbed at the beginning .

Lots of TBI 700r4 combinations out there. S-10, Camaro's, Firebirds, Blazers, 1500 trucks, etc.

that's great but I'd like to see if the tv cable throttle bracket puts the tv cable end in the same spot, or if it's different..
from a 2004r one.. if they both are for exp. 15/16th from the throttle shaft center line then it would not matter but if one is 15/16th and the other is 3/8th it might matter to the trans, yes I could rework it. but it be nice if I didn't have to.

I'm going to say no in answer to your question and my reason for that answer is because I bought a similar part as the tv adapter bracket in the link and the instructions say for the 700r4 use as is and for the 200-4r it says to file the top hole to the pre-scribed line to make elongated like the bottom hole. For the 200-4r the bracket is to be slid up so that the bottom of the bottom hole is against the protruding lip of the throttle bracket on the carb.

This is the information that is provided by TCI with a 700r4 and they apply it to both transmissions. Guess I just muddied the water, sorry.
