  • Out of work again...

    Got a new service manager,
he decided to replace me with two kids for less
money, and as he'll find, less productivity.

So, anyone local need a good tech?

Dangit, it sucks to hear that. Good luck with the search!

That sucks. Wish my Michigan connections were current (they're not).

If you didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any. Hope you find something soon.

And more returns for the same problem.

Don't have the job yet, but have an interview saturday for a Northwest Tire,
whom I've worked for before, but have made many changes since, supposedly.

The guy I talked to is offering $27-$28 per flat rate hour.
                I'd take it....maybe.

Fingers crossed - assuming it's the RIGHT situation. Someone needs to appreciate you (besides Mindy).

One friend had 23 years in with HomeDepot and the manager just walked over and said Joe today is your last day.

My friend looked at him and said what did I do and the manager said you are a model employee but after 23 years you are now making almost $28.00 dollars an hour and we can hire two people for what we are paying you.

It's a very crazy world we live in today and when major companies wonder why employees are not loyal to them it should be very clear.

When you treat people like crap they will never be loyal to you.

I saw that at an air guard unit.
mental breakdowns and heart attacks. Cold war was over.
over 15 and less than 20 years. my god.

                      perfect killers.

back to ops subject, a tech today with years of carb , history overlapped into a mix, then injection.

Don't let them make your hands get dirty.

It's like being a veteran of a cold war and smart enough to take on the new.

Yup, very difficult to get a loyal employee when they know they can be cut for simply being good and dedicated to their job.
                        Escaped on a technicality.

In many industries they are already here, just don't have benefit status yet. Those of us that have made a living in the craft trades have been fighting that fight for 15 years or more.
