heheheh yeah, there's some stuff on there I'd definitely like to see changed, but I'm just happy to see a car like that in the area!

I like it. Not sure about the grill and the scoop. AC won't work too well with no back or side glass.
1967 Chevelle 300 2 Door Post. No factory options. 250 ci inline six with lump-ported head, big valves, Offy intake and 500cfm Edelbrock carb.

                Re: Local Rat Rod...

He needs to decide if he wants a retro rod or a contemporary beater. It's closer to the later. Even so, I call violation on...
                The grille
                The hood scop
                The carb
The wheels (maybe...but totally wrong on the spinners)
                The dip stick
                The license plate frame
                The mesh bed cover
The headers (straight tubes into a Cherry Bomb with chrome tips?)
                The chrome alternator
                The seats

I will, however, give credit to:
                The overall stance
                The remote radiator
                The windshield
                The headlights
The little lights in the ends of the bedrails

                      I'll second the contemporary beater.

I like some of the 'rat rods", but it's wearing kinda thin, like the Pro Street and Pro Touring thing did...too many people flat-blacking some tub of shit and saying "Hey man, it's a Rat Rod!"......kinda morphing into what annoyed me about the billet crowd.

Maybe I'm just grumpy today....LOL.....but that little truck does have potential.

                        Re: Local Rat Rod...

Maybe it's all part of a new, as yet unnamed style. It's not ratrod, because it was built too well, it's not traditional by any means, it's not street rod because it's too friggin ugly, it's not hot rod because it's really just an artistic statement of bad taste.

We just need to figure out what to call these things..

"dazed and confused" seems to fit, how about we call them DNCs?

Yeah, you're right, Joe! Maybe a better way to look at it would be as untraditional, innovative, etc.

The only problem is that it's hard on the eyes of those who have been doing this for a long time and have limited asthetic tastes.
