i agree the programming could be a LOT better. losing f1 to the nbc sports channel wasnt a good thing. then losing outdoor motocross. but i enjoy a few shows like pass time, pinks, etc. hell, its better than womans college basketball.
IDK, i enjoy lots of forms of motor sports. except for football, i dont care for many other sports.
maybe a better car related channel will come along? hint,...hint,...BS staff!
pinks all reruns
pass time cancelled a few years ago..
I rarely watched speed anymore anyway, but having a channel dedicated to car stuff and racing was cool. Now it's back to the olden days of trying to find racing/car shows on TV. At the end of Barrett-Jackson from Reno they said that BJ Vegas will jump around between FOX Sports1, FOX Sports 2 and . . . National Geographic Channel!? I hope Craig Jackson tells FOX to go F**K themselves and finds another network to cover the auction. I guess the higher-ups at FOX figures we're not worth the trouble anymore.
Wind Tunnel is/was cool. Dave Despain is a GREAT broadcaster, maybe the best racing guy in the business! I would rarely watch it anymore because nothing else good was on that channel.
The F1 broadcasters are very good, but since they have added Scott Russel to the motorcycle race broadcasts I can't even watch it any more.
That said, much of the decline in non-nascar has been a result of bad management from the sanctioning bodies (e.g. AMA, ALMS, Indy, etc...)
Is it just me or were things more interesting in the days of IMSA, CART, and the old AMA Superbike days?
Point is I think it's related, it's not on Speed 'cuz it wasn't that good of a product, and a network based on racing focused on a type of racing that WAS successful. That declined, and the slippery slope goes where it goes.
