There is nothing new about this song, but I really like it
War in every breath...
If I remember this day when the war is through
And all the fires that were leading to this
Then I'll be civil in the corner I was backed into
A lot slower to raise my fist
I knew the fight was all in vain
But I felt you falling
Now
I know my way
Found a world of pain
And cut it to fit in the place of my heart
I cut it to fit in the place of my heart
There is a crippling plague underneath this weight
And I'm afraid that I know what it is
Because the further we get from the way of truth
The much further we descend the abyss
I feel the venom pervade, demanding its way
As you nailed me against that wall
In your wrath you preyed on the hope I gave
So now I'm praying for a final resolve
I knew the fight was all in vain
But I felt you falling down
Why should I wait to feel the same
When our fate is calling
I found my truest way was not my way at all
Save us when we fall.Doing it all wrong since 1966

This thread was started by Pdub, and life's been kind of rough for him - maybe for a bit - post up songs that help you/mean good stuff for you.
This was posted - and I'm unabashedly copying it -
I'm sorry you feel this way. I may not know you or understand your pain, I may not ever meet you. You might go on forever without finding someone who understands the depth of your pain, but know this: When it comes down to it, despite their flaws and inadequacies, being broken is what makes people great. It makes you stronger, smarter and kinder. You are a better person because of this pain, and maybe that's not much of a consolation right now. I totally allow for that possibility. I hope you feel better.
couldn't say it better myself.

I think PDub and Sue are out of the woods for now. Actually these lyrics I feel are about a couple separated by illness.
Wake Up
Royal Bliss
Well I find comfort in not knowing
In the days and in the mornings
And I find myself a little weak
When I can't begin to show it
They say it will get better
Will you ever hear the words I keep
Why don't you wake up
I hear you breathing
I need to tell you one more time
Why don't you wake up
I can't believe it
I need to tell you one more time
Feel the stab of the main stream
Movie stars and beauty queens
Still feel the past beneath their feet
When a worn out feelin saviour
Because of my behavior
Well I find my doubts, the ones I seek
Why don't you wake up
I hear you breathing
I need to tell you one more time
Why don't you wake up
I can't believe it
I need to tell you one more time
Can I change your place?
Can we turn back time?
Will I find my way?
I feel like giving up
I feel like screaming out
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Yeah
Why don't you wake up
I hear you breathing
I need to tell you one more time
Why don't you wake up
Now don't you leave me
I need to tell you one more time
Wake up - Wake up
I need to tell you one more time
Why don't you wake up
I can't believe it
I need to tell you one more time
Why don't you wake up
Plus the PDub I know would rather remember the good times, then settle on down.
After 10,000 beers and 28 yearsI finally figured it outThere's plenty of timeJust to settle on downLast edited by RockJustRock; August 8, 2019, 06:06 PM.My hobby is needing a hobby.
