    Friday Night Song Thread

This one's rattling around in my head, has been for years, this performance. You've got Trucks and Tedeschi on stage together years ago. It doesn't hurt that they're married.

Wonder what their nights are like? Hey honey, let play another song.

Trucks comes off in media interviews like he's got the personality of a goldfish. Doesn't matter when you can play like him.

Why get all nostalgic about old stuff when it updates SO well?

I paused seeing same date of birth..
but then again. there was something else.

    could not place it.
music is genetic. I have No doubt about it now.
I compared this one to the maturity of my mother singing.
I actually posted that here some years ago.

her original name cook.. is large in my dna matches. My mother's side.

humanity is so dynamical, it can erase actual origins through 8th generation..no dna match.
    always interesting to find something.

it is funny to realize some things. Like I did with Lavigne..I would not be on earth without that name either and somehow knew it before that ancestry dna experiment.

I am sad to say I am hunter, the primate with dead fathers...disabled vet myself is actually lucky.
The branch of my surname, all the men. We never stop fighting for some reason. A government action..we are there like flies on poop.. to DIE a noble cause.
I hope the nephews never go military.

So.... How do you feel about Mark Henry? I dread a WWE thread though. Everybody knows how I feel about nostalgia.

    we all hear gangsta rap..

    this one is wopster rap.

I follow strong man contest, martin and hapthor and found some interesting history of prior strong men

this guy went to jail for beating a crime boss and taking his gold chain.

in strong man history, he is still at the top in several contests

If something HAS to be from the past this goes back to the late '90s. Still sounds fresh.

Funny how time changes one's musical tastes. When I first heard this over two years ago it sounded like pure noise. Fascinating noise, but still noise. Today it is the kind of thing I enjoy. Military elements all over them too.

    king 810.. that is interesting.

This one is from 1996, they borrowed some metallica droning guitar.. still had some 1980s record scratching.

they were just playing around, hardly trying.

I am sure war is what took all that away. a lot more hate today.
stuff disappeared to me from day 2 of gulf war 1

I posted about this guy before. Named himself after a Pro Stock. Rap sensibility. New CD dropping now.

This guy is rap mixed with what I usually listen to.

believe it or not, been subscribed to this one for some time..
he mixes up country and rap, and goes either way separate

I left off in the early 80s mixing guitar with newfound beats from NYC.. before any of that gangsta crap was even allowed on radio.

it was 2 decades with guys like this before hearing what I had going on in my head.
there is inbetween sounds like DJ shadow in the 90s, etc..

I am waiting for that one integrated winner, bound to happen.. this is a candidate for that.

Sammy Hagar is completely un-natural. He is 72 years old and has terrible personal habits, but look at him. He was SO lucky to hook up with Michael Anthony (a mere 65 like me) a kindred spirit. Sammy can SING but I can't ever imagine him again without Michael as backup. David Lee Mouth blew it SO badly. Sammy's career makes no logical sense. If you tried to listen to every song he has recorded lead vocals on it would take days. 27 studio albums. A Sammy Hagar discography would be larger than most people's COMPLETE music collection. Yet we keep listening. Old farts DO rock.
