  • looking for help diagnosing ABS

The ABS light is on on my 1995 GMC 2wd. The brakes are functioning just fine but the ABS is not working. It is all wheel ABS not just rear wheel. I put an ohm meter on the front 2 sensors and they ohmed out the same. I then put a volt meter on each sensor and had someone spin the wheel. One side had a voltage reading ( cant remember what) and the other side read nothing while being spun. This tells me that the wheel speed sensor is shot. before I shell out the money for a new one I was hoping for an expert opinion. thanks in advance!

I am no expert but I heard rust builds up where the sensor seats in the hole and pushes it away from the toothed ring. You can pull the sensor and see if it needs cleaning then reassemble and test.

Check he continuity of each wire as well .... Is The abs light on?

And I agree, pull and check each one for corrosion etc.
