A/Fuel, I'm with you for all the reasons you mention.

    From the stands:
    Cars will still run 4's
    Cars will still run 300mph
Cars will sound BETTER on a 96-98% load....the A/Fuel cars are more gutteral sounding than the "big cars"

Hey A- You guys turn what, about 6k RPM out of your motors?

I'm not trying to bait anyone with this question, but for the people who are dead set against it, have you ever seen an injected fuel car run? Purely be inquisitive. If you haven't it's cool, I'm just wondering who has.

If changes are going to be made, they might as well be big ones that will stand up for some time. Stop gap measures or nibbling changes are going to be overcome within a relatively short time frame.

That which you manifest is before you.

we try to get around 4700-5000 rpms at the hit, and around 3-3.5 sec. when the clutch locks up it will run to around 6500 rpms in the lights....
getting that 47-5000 is really critical for pump speed, if you miss it, you're going to be down a gallon or two and have a real duck.

      you're right about the sound.....
once you've heard a 13.5:1 hemi on 96% put it on the "high side" you'll be hooked.

the thing about a/fuel is, if it's running good and your tune up is right, it's happy. it's when you miss the tune-up and start dropping holes that makes them hard on parts....tourched heads, bent rods, and burnt head gaskets....

youtube just doesn't do it justice.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV0T5hIFyLE
thats Tim Bogwren my neighbour from Valpo, Indiana....

Dave Hirata from Lowell, Indiana http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWmsbW1qz9A
and some other guy from Brownsburg, Indiana.....LOL

      here is one more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiw_Q...eature=related
the last time we fired one up inside the shop, we blew the lights out, and i was coughing up white stuff for a hour.....
not to mention we couldn't see anything through the yellow fog and watering eyes
