                  lighten a 78 Malibu? That is crazy. I see that worm gear looking chunk, I bet the chassis squashed and it took a dig too deep. The rear end stuff, try an IRS with a center carrier driveshaft...and never lighten the late 70s Malibu.

                          Stock case with 3:50 gears and moser axles. He had turned it up the boost and 2 step in order to let it all hang out. Time for a performance upgrade.
