      Not only did he direct and write some great movies, he invented some of the mainstay equipment used in stunts today.

        I remember his name first from Hooper, was the first time I paid attention I guess. Sadly, I didn't know about him doubling for Richard Boone or being a stunt double. RIP Hal.

          I read his book,very interesting guy! We can thank him for Smokey and the Bandit and Cannonball run. He would have been a great guy to hang out with,Im sure there will never be another guy like him,may he RIP.
