I used to love to watch them back when ... like when TNN was doing them. I guess that's been a while.. some of the guys were still running Allison's and getting killed for the most part by the turbines. I can appreciate the boats but I'm not as fond of the nasty rotating thingies as I am of the piston pushers.

the endless abyss of water pushing, is worse than air. Turbines make more sense there. The sound of a marine engine working hard is always intriguing, but I say that no matter where it is. I wonder what a little turbine could do, smaller boat.. like from an old jets APU, add a prop.
