  • Hey LS7GTO

Your boy Andy Jensen's got the new Camaro hauling ass huh?
It's claimed to be the first turbo car to go 3's in the 1/8th.

    Not bad for only 427ci.

He used to embarrass the Super Chevy guys with his old 'Vette, but dare I say the new Camaro is even cooler!

      Hey man,

Here's brief recap of the run:

      L) Andy Jensen – 3.997 et – 184.65 mph
      (R) Shannon Jenkins – 4.257 et – 148.12 mph

Jenkins shook & had to lift. Meanwhile Jensen carded a .983 60’ & a 3 second pass in the turbo ride!!

Here's a link to the qualifying sheet that he should frame and keep forever. When you out qualify:

      Shannon Jenkins
      Rickie Smith
      Charles Carpenter
      Dale Brinsfield
      Burton Auxier....
and on and on with a 427ci motor VS their 700+ cube nitrous mills, you're doing something right.

3.997 in the eigth is a 6.0X in the 1/4 and depending on how hard it moves up top, maybe a 5.999999. I think his biggest advantage is the weight of that car, which I've been told is light as a feather.

Why is he not here?! Seems like a neat guy to quiz on motor stuff.

        What track was that at?

Andy sells a lot of motors because of his cars. And yes, they are featherweight.

Andys car is light? dude, he would eat x-lax the night before a race if he thought he would go faster. yes, he is always light and when he gets it right hes like a damn bracket racer.

Cool. Always nice to hear good stuff about a guy who is fast.

I remember you mentioning his name in the past. No need to be scared...yet.

It looks like a McAmis body, is it a McAmis chassis?

                        Re: Hey LS7GTO

Brian, yes on both , but it was a bare chassis, john little did some of the finish work, andy plumbed and wired it and made alot of the litewieght stuff, and Tim horney did the paint prep work , and a friend of his painted it.
head gaskets are cometics, and yea they are thick and the piston is way outta the bore. guess it works ;D

I was talking to Andy's nephew Saturday night at Selinsgrove (he has a 66 Chevelle Super Stock he was trying to sell me). He seemed to know a little about the car. Pretty proud of the fastest 1/8 mile thing.
