I'll bet the team doctor makes him go to Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig or something. That was a simple case of physics there, probably the lever principle.

Yes, a feat of brawn with an obvious lack of brain power as the cantilever weight was painfully obvious before his feet hit the backboard especially noting that the goal was a temporary unit and not a permanent fixture. One would think such an accomplished basketball player would know the difference and notice it before doing his acrobatics.

Maybe I just over-think things, but probably not, IMO.

Methinks maybe not over-thinking Scott. Lots of race car drivers go zillions of MPH before walking out there on whatever course to confirm that the asphalt is indeed attached to the earth, that's just a given.

And many drivers hit the wall before going out there to feel for themselves that the wall is indeed made from a very hard (impact-resistant) material.

All that in the drastically inflated defense of the basketball player's actions. No, it wasn't his fault. He was just....we need a lawyer..... SBG.

A small glass of 'let the hell go of it!' would have worked very well.

              Saw it on the news!
I just sat in awe that he would put his feet up when it was already falling!
              Lucky it didn't kill him!
