  • Why do you "hot rod", or "car craft"???

For me.. I like a better running viehcle..
Make it run better, accelerate, look cool (to my eyes),
Many times the improvements in power increases mileage..

Alot of times it is because I can't afford a new car..still can't!

Because I'm a dumb @$$ who never grew out of my pre-teen fascination with the deceptive propaganda Pete Petersen pushed in his magazines . . . and I'm abysmal at golf.

Besides, how else can one waste copious sums of money and irritate all of one's neighbors any more efficiently?

Sometimes I really just don't know and think it might be just easier to sell it all and ride dirt bikes with my kids. haha

It's my form of relaxation and creative expression. I push paper all day. Creating something real and tangible is a great satisfaction.

The more irritating aspect is that I'm cheap and don't trust shops, so I save money (but not time), by doing my own maintenance.
        I'm still learning

OH NO! That means the arrivals of the skanky Miley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan on the Bangshifting scene are seemingly inevitable! YIKES!

I started off rare, and still rare. A cop car, to 301 Pontiac with a tow package... not one monte carlo SS, two of them.

In maine you do not look for stuff. You are working with money and getting begged from.

Trucking drove me nearly savant with steel and how it responds to the earth wobbling around the sun...Just add Maine.

Ya know, if you handed me a 3 cylinder Subaru justy.. it would not be a Subaru justy as we know them. Everything I have goes hot rod.

I know it is the steel. Revolve around steel, see what cannot stay midget. Nothing can stay midget around real steel. You need real steel? car will not be small for long.

I just tucked an 80000 mile tread bald and as balanced as ever under my bed. That is an ode to real hot rod. Burn 'em off or drive 'em off..both is a reward justified.

Aside from natural mans traits to be car crafting.. the sad part of my motivaton is how long a gov't kept 1957 airplanes screaming, and my time as a public service at a simple quik lube.

somebody has to do something.. nobody is happy. A dream about cars more than real.. and that sucks.

If I could explain it them I would know why, and be able to analyze it, and deal with it, and move on, but I enjoy it too much to move on so I keep doing what feels good because I get unfriendly when I can't spend time with my true first love.

These are all good reasons, but the truth for me is the dog gets pissed when I try to sit on it and make vroom noises.
